Very Late Listing of Mock Newbery Club's 2007 Picks

I don't want to whine too much, but being the only librarian in a middle school doesn't leave much time for blogging! I know, I know. I should take the time . . . pooh! Anyway, the kids picked The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trent Lee Stewart as their winner for the Moore Square Museums Magnet Middle School Mock Newbery Club winner for 2007. They also picked these four titles as honor books: Paint the Wind by Pam Munoz Ryan, The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick, The Book of a Thousand Days by Shannon Hale, and How to Steal a Dog by Barbara O'Connor.

We are beginning to narrow down the books for 2008, and I will post that list very soon. (Well, you know, time is relative.)
